Messier Binocular Observation Certificate (Basic)

Must observe at least 20 Objects from the Messier Catalogue

Binocular Size: A 10 x 50 binocular is suggested but not required for this award. Binoculars can be hand held or tripod mounted.

Required Information: Date, Time, Location, and Binocular power and size, Object Catalogue #.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Required to observe at least:

1. 5 Open Star Clusters
2. 4 Globular Star Clusters
3. 1 Galaxy
4. 1 Nebula

2. Observe, Identify, Draw or Describe each object.

Others (any) 9
